RaceOnTexas.com (Field Report 4/26/2017) The 1st Class Towing Race On Texas.com Limited Modified Points Battle is already in full swing at South Texas Speedway in 2017.  You could toss a blanket over first to the sixth place cut off line in the dash to qualify for the season ending Championship Chase with only nine markers separating points leader Marcus Mikulencak and his MattressFirm 9m from James Parks and his Pro-Line Fabrication 33JP.

Five points back of the younger racing Mikulencak is a tie for second between April 1st Sames Ford Season Opener race winner Broc "The Wildman" Bowen and April 15th 1st Class Towing Night winner "Hammer Down" Ray Schaalman.  Steven Whiteaker Jr sits six markers back of Mikulencak in fourth position coming on the heels of a runner-up finish in his last South Texas Speedway start on April 15th.  Dustin Butcher, the reigning South Texas Shootout Champion sits in fifth place a mere seven markers out of the top slot and primed for a big move aboard Jerry and Mary Elhard's  Elhard Air Conditioning and Electrical Inc , Church's Chicken 90K.

With a $2,000 South Texas Speedway Championship Chase Point Fund, drivers in the Limited Modified Division have many reasons to let it all hang out this season at South Texas Speedway.  A point format automatically qualifying the top 6 in points to the Championship Chase plus any driver with a win and perfect attendance also punching their ticket into the final 3 race showdown to close out the 2017 Regular Season.
