ELM MOTT, Texas (Oct. 22, 2021) — Versatile short track star Kaden Honeycutt, Factory Stock King Ryan Hopkins and Modified hotshoe Garrett Gregory led a list of 56 drivers now locked into the A Mains, as officials hosted Night 1 of the 24th annual Fall Classic Friday at Heart O' Texas Speedway.

After Time Trials were held on Thursday evening, 30 Heat races, 14 Qualifiers and a 25-lap A Main for the DFW Crate Late Model series kept fans entertained into the early morning hours of Saturday. With 270 entries spread across eight classes, the Fall Classic features continuous racing each night.

Honeycutt, of Willow Park, won the first of two 20-lap qualifiers for Factory Stock teams. Collin Hodges, Shannon Dulock and Scotty Rawlinson joined Honeycutt by getting locked into tonight's A Main. Hopkins, of Waco, won the second qualifier, with Jason Batt, Cameron Cook and Randy Buttery also earning starting positions.

Always capable of competing in (and winning) multiple divisions at the same event, Honeycutt also won a Qualifier in IMCA Southern SportMod action Friday evening. Honeycutt led Brandon Geurin, Jeffery Abbey and Dan Day across the stripe in the first go-round.

Veteran Paul White led the second SportMod tilt, with Robert Scrivner, Dustin Mooney and Kyle Wilkins finishing second through fourth, respectively. Twenty-seven SportMods were on hand for the Fall Classic on Friday evening.

Gregory, of Tomball, won the first of two qualifiers for IMCA Modifieds. William Gould, JP Dowell and Raymond McSpadden finished second through fourth to secure starting positions. PJ Egbert claimed the second qualifier, with David Goode Jr., Kevin Green and Eric Tomlinson also locked into the rich A Main.

Other drivers earning top-four finishes in Friday night's Qualifiers include Westin Abbey, Lance Hanson Jr., Benji Kirkpatrick, Demetrius Carter (IMCA Stock Cars, Qualifier No. 1);  Damon Hammond, Dennis Bissonette, Dustin Mooney and Michael Riskey (IMCA Stock Cars Qual. No. 2).

In Outlaw Street Stock, Chase Allen, Chase Doughty, David Goode Jr. and Drew Garcia finished first through fourth to make the show in Qualifier No. 1, while Brandon Hood, Tommy Honey, Tommy Kirkpatrick and Wade White earned their starting positions through the second Qualifier.

The Dwarf Car Nationals are also a part of the 24th annual Fall Classic at Heart O' Texas Speedway. Chance Hull and Michael Abney claimed the two Qualifiers for the Pro class, while David Kulhanek and Jason Reavis won the two tilts for the VERS division.

Dillon Spreen, Joseph Penney, Dustin Rude, Devin Breese, Ryan Stoy and the ever-talented Dawson Fisher also earned solid starting positions for tonight's big A Mains. The Dwarfs were plagued by cautions on Friday, with a few going upside-down during preliminary qualifying activities.

The DFW Local Late Models capped a full program on Friday night. Kevin Sitton, of Baytown, Texas, powered to victory in a 25-lap A Main. 'Little' Robbie Starnes crossed the line in second, while Dean Abbey filled out the podium. Chase Allen and Kevin Ramey completed the top five.

Officials at Heart O' Texas Speedway kept the program rolling throughout Friday's lengthy program. The track has a reputation for quick, action-packed shows on Friday nights, and they maintained that same philosophy as they executed Night No. 1 of their famed Fall Classic.
